Lunch at Stettyn Family Vineyards

We recently visited Stettyn Family Vineyards for our very first time, while Amanda was at a birthday party, and enjoyed it so much that we went back a few weeks later. It was another lovely day and we had a fabulous time enjoying the picturesque view over a scrumptious cheese and meat platter.

On our first visit, I only had my phone with me, so today's photos are better, having taken them with my trusty Canon PowerShot. South Africa and other parts of the world are on lockdown, so right now, this is the best way to visit South Africa's wine region, from the safety of your home!

Aan de Doorns and Winelands

About two weeks ago, before the schools were closed, and before we began social-distancing, we popped in at Aan de Doorns to buy wine and Oryx Ridge Olives. We buy the olives in bulk and get a good price that way. They're also delicious!

Aan de Doorns sells my favorite white wine, Route 43 Fruity White, which is a semi-sweet wine made from Colombard grapes. Over the years, the label has changed, but the taste remains just as good. My husband especially enjoys their Doornroodt, which is a blend of Ruby Cabernet and Merlot.

Mush Slime Workshop

A few weeks ago, Amanda had a birthday. One of her birthday gifts was attending a Mush Slime workshop in Durbanville. She loves making slime and she's a fan of Mush Slime. She watches their videos on Instagram and a couple of times has ordered their slimes online. The workshop was a lot of fun and meeting up with a few of her friends from school there made it even better! I have permission from their moms to share these photos.

This was the same day that we visited her big brother, Jeremiah, and saw horse racing at the Durbanville Racecourse. Be sure to check out A Day at the Races, if you missed that post! Like last week, all of the pics I'm sharing today were taken with my phone's camera.
