Hex River Valley and Farm Stall

The Sunday before Mother's Day, we took a drive to the Hex River Valley and stopped in and had tea at the farm stall. I took a photo of the cute teapots with my phone and shared it on Instagram. If you want to see the inside of the farm stall, then be sure to check out the linked posts below from a previous visit.

Road Trip with White-Capped Mountains - Part 2

I love seeing photos of country roads. They give me a sense of wonder and adventure. Where will that road take me? Today I'm sharing Part 2 of a wintery drive from earlier this year. All of these pics were taken on the fly while Hubby drove. I have also included some of my favorite country road posts with links below.

Wine Tasting at De Wet Cellar

We often drive past De Wet Cellar, but just never managed to stop in and try their wines. They are situated on the N1 along the scenic route between Worcester and the Hex River Valley. Outside is very unassuming and presently under some construction, so we were pleasantly surprised to see how beautifully designed the interior was. We experienced an enjoyable wine tasting experience by tasting room manager Anzél Groenewald. It's always nice when your expectations are superseded. We bought a few bottles of sparkling grape juice for Amanda, a jar of homestyle olives, and, of course, some wine.

the Chardonnay and the Sauvignon Blanc.
