Doggy on the Beach

This little doggy is a Miniature Schnauzer named Ziggy. Most of the photos are of Jessica with Ziggy and a few of Samantha boogie boarding with her dad. Ziggy belongs to my in-laws.

Visiting Velddrif - Part 3

We had all four kids with us on our day outing to Velddrif. We picked up groceries in town and searched for a spot along the beach to have a picnic. The spot we found was perfect! After our picnic, we drove to Port Owen. Amanda played mini-golf with her dad. Samantha and I sat at a bench in the shade of a tree and watched them. Jessica and Jeremiah sat at Poetic License Gin Distellery and had drinks. All around, it was a lovely day.

Visiting Velddrif - Part 1

Christmas time is summertime in South Africa. We almost always head to the West Coast to my in-laws. Velddrif is a fishing town along an estuary that we love to visit. Our three girls were with us on this outing. We saw the bokkoms hanging out to dry. In one of the photos is a small packet of bokkoms (dried mullet) that we shared. They are very salty. We saw flamingos flying by, but my pic of them isn't very clear.
