Farmstall and Country Roads

The little pumpkin farmstall (in Afrikaans it's Die Pampoenstalletjie) is on the way to Nuy on the Hill where we went for milkshakes the other day. The mixed salts for sale are labelled with Funky Ouma. Grandma in Afrikaans is Ouma. For people taking photos, they ask for a tip (donation) for the local school for the farm laborers' children. This place is definitely a photo opportunity! Enjoy!

Milkshakes at Nuy on the Hill

One of our favorite places to visit is Nuy on the Hill. It's a wine tasting venue and restaurant. Two things that we particularly enjoy there are their delicious milkshakes and the gorgeous views. We had Jessica and Amanda with us on this day. Both girls ordered Nutella and I went for the salted caramel. I tried the Nutella and I'm happy to say that they didn't chince on the taste. I might even order that next time! Hubby ordered a Cape Kraken craft beer by the Mountain Brewing Company. It's a Belgian amber ale and I found it quite tasty. I'm not a fan of beer, but I did try it!

The Watershed and Waterfront, Cape Town

We went to Cape Town for Jessica's 21st birthday celebration. Last week I shared photos of the High Tea that we had and today's photos are of us walking around the Waterfront. We popped in at the Watershed where all kinds of cool handmade things can be bought. I only took a few photos inside and I tried to avoid getting other people in the shots. The photo that has me in looks like a selfie, but actually Hubby took that pic. We didn't have a lot of space to stand, so he was really close to us. All around we had a lovely time and the weather was perfect!
