Jason's Hill Private Cellar - Part 1

Hubby took me out for breakfast on Valentine's Day. He booked us a table at Jason's Hill. We had a beautiful drive just getting there and the estate itself is breathtaking. I did a series of posts on Slanghoek Valley (a gem of a valley tucked away between mountains) very recently, so you might remember that I included photos of a previous visit to Jason's Hill. I hope you enjoy these latest photos.

Du Toitskloof Cellar - Part 3

We had the perfect day wine tasting at Du Toitskloof Cellar. It was just after Christmas and before Valentine's Day. In case you were wondering how come the weather was so nice, it's because it's summertime here in South Africa.

There was a little playground under the shade of the trees that Amanda enjoyed while we chatted to the guy who presented the wines to us. I took photos of the wines we tried and you can see them in my previous post, Part 2. Today's photos are of Amanda on the slide and the delicious wines that we bought and brought home.

Du Toitskloof Cellar - Part 1

Near the town of Rawsonville, about an hours drive from Cape Town, is Du Toitskloof Cellar. They offer a wonderful variety of wines and some of our favorite easy-drinking wines are in their inexpensive range.

They also have a small kitchen that turns out yummy light meals to compliment the wine. We always enjoy visiting, because of the care they give their customers and it's where we find value for money.

Not only do they make good wines, but they also have good business values as they participate in Fairtrade. They are part of the Fairhills project, which is the largest Fairtrade social responsibility project in the world.
