Slanghoek Valley - Part 2

We went for a drive one Sunday afternoon to Slanghoek Valley and popped in at two wine estates. The first estate that we visited was closed, but I still took lots of pictures of the property and its surrounding views. You can see some of those pictures here. I'll post the rest next time.

Gorgeous photos. I saw those trees with purple flowers in Nairobi several years ago. I forget what they're called. Just lovely as so different from anything at home.

Yes, it's the Jacaranda tree. There are many here in South Africa. We were driving past when I took that photo. I loved the colors of the green tree behind the purple tree and the red roses in front. :)

Very cool photos. My fav has to be the third from the top - nifty use of composition. Love how your eye follows the lines right up the mountain.

Ummm....might I suggest using more of a see through text (30 - 40% opaque usually works well) for your watermark. It's a shame that the current one distracts from the pictures so much (especially the 4th from the bottom). No disrespect meant and no worries if you disagree...they're your photos to do with as you like. Watermarks are a personal choice and whatever you choose needs to feel right to you...so feel free to disregard my suggestion.

Thanks for the visit and comments! I used to make my letters more see-through, but then I realized that I wanted people to see the photos (like on Pinterest) and visit the blog. I'll have to consider doing it again that way.
