Lunch at Angala Part 2

We met my in-laws at Angala, a 5-star boutique hotel nestled between Paarl and Franschhoek. We enjoyed a light lunch here, where they take alfresco dining to another level. The setting is beautiful and the views are breathtaking.

One of the pools is an eco pool, which is a natural pool. No chemicals, salts, or sterilization equipment is used. Plants are doing all the work to keep it clean and it's supposed to be really good for your skin. Amanda had a dainty dragonfly land on her arm. Ziggy, the miniature Schnauzer, belongs to her grandparents.

Lunch at Angala Part 1

It's always nice to have an excuse to go for a drive. On this occasion, we met my in-laws for lunch at Angala. I took enough photos of the pretty surroundings that I will share some today and the rest next week.

Hermanus in December

While we are experiencing lockdown in South Africa, I'm looking back at old photos that haven't been shared yet on the blog. It's fun to see what we've done in the past. These pics were taken in Hermanus in December 2017. We were on holiday with my mom and stepdad.We overnighted at the Whale Coast Hotel and Mall. We ate a fabulous dinner at Lemon-Butta, Willowbridge Lifestyle Centre and the following morning had breakfast somewhere in the town. The Westin in Cape Town

Two of my daughters and I stayed at The Westin in Cape Town with my dad and stepmom before they had to fly back to the States. Their room was directly above ours. It was nice to spend a little more quality time with them before having to say our goodbyes. They only came for one week, but we did lots in that short time. I think the highlight at the 5-star hotel was the buffet breakfast. The last photo was taken at the airport.
