Visiting the Estuary at Velddrif

Jessica, Amanda, and Ziggy

One of our favorite fishing towns on South Africa's West Coast is Velddrif. It's an estuary on the Berg River and a bird's paradise. It's also where some of South Africa's sea salt is produced. We took my in-laws' dog, Ziggy, with us on this outing.

The Old Mill at Du Toitskloof Cellar

Siblings: Samantha, Amanda, and Jeremiah
(We have 4 kids, but Jessica wasn't with us that day.)

I live in South Africa's beautiful wine region, the Western Cape. It's a great place to live if you enjoy photography. I often have something of interest to photograph, even something as simple as a stunning sunrise. This is my travel blog where I try to focus on great places to visit, but I also have a mom blog where I share pictures of our lives in this scenic region. Visit Amanda's Books and More to see the sunrise and other photos!

Today's photos are of the Oumeul (Old Mill) Bakery and Café at Du Toitskloof Cellar and a great place for wine tasting. We had a bottle of their Nebbiolo with our lunch. If you want to check out their wines, then visit my blog post Du Toitskloof Wines.

Atlanta - Part 4

I'm ending off my Atlanta series with the fabulous Ponce City Market. The market offers a fun dining experience in a hip, industrial setting with several options to choose from. And, there are plenty of gorgeous shops to either spend money on yourself or a gift for someone special.

We visited the place last summer with my step-dad and brother. While there, we did some gift shopping and ate lunch at the Biltong Bar. It was neat to share some flavorful South African food with them. Come back next week to see photos of what South Africa (mainly the Western Cape region) has to offer!
