Lunch at Another Ou Meul

We met my in-laws for lunch at the Ou Meul Bakery in Rawsonville several weeks ago. We were dogsitting Ziggy while they went away on holiday. It was here that we met them on their way back home.

Last week I shared about the Ou Meul in Simondium. Both are in beautiful locations and certainly worth a visit. It was by accident that I wore the same outfit both times, but it's a good outfit on a hot day.

Birthday at the Cape Town Waterfront

Yesterday was Amanda's 14th birthday. She wanted to visit the Waterfront in Cape Town, so we took her on the weekend and picked up two of her siblings to join us. We all had a lovely time even if everything didn't go according to plan. We walked around, visited the Food Market, and ate at Meloncino, an elegant Italian restaurant with a view of the water and Table Mountain. The food was good and the service friendly, but it was pricy.

There are two iconic buildings in the photos. The Arts and Crafts-style Old Port Captain's Building was built in 1904, and the Victorian Gothic-style Clock Tower was built in 1882.

Cape Garden Nursery

A couple of weeks ago, we met up with my mother-in-law at the Cape Garden Centre to buy plants. We had lovely sunshine on a winter's day. While Hubby drove, I took these photos of the wispy cloud formations. Hubby took the pic of us ladies with the plants we chose. We only removed our face masks for a short moment. By law, we have to wear masks in public, which we agree with. The last few photos are of our new plants. All of today's pics were taken with my phone's camera.
