Birthday at the Cape Town Waterfront

Yesterday was Amanda's 14th birthday. She wanted to visit the Waterfront in Cape Town, so we took her on the weekend and picked up two of her siblings to join us. We all had a lovely time even if everything didn't go according to plan. We walked around, visited the Food Market, and ate at Meloncino, an elegant Italian restaurant with a view of the water and Table Mountain. The food was good and the service friendly, but it was pricy.

There are two iconic buildings in the photos. The Arts and Crafts-style Old Port Captain's Building was built in 1904, and the Victorian Gothic-style Clock Tower was built in 1882.
