Visiting the Town of Robertson

We popped in at the little town of Robertson mainly to buy some meat pies for lunch. Louretta's Cake Boutique, opposite the church, is known for its quality baked goods and Robertson is known for its wonderful wine estates along beautiful country roads. I have included links below of a few favorites.

On the Road to Montagu

After leaving Hermanus, we headed to Montagu. It's a very pretty drive. We stopped for some refreshments at the Country Kitchen. It was nice checking out the gift shop, while we stretched our legs, before heading on our way again. These photos are from December 2017 and I just never got the opportunity to share them. Being on lockdown means we aren't going anywhere, so looking back at old photos has been fun!

Raka Wines

Another wine estate that we visited in December 2017 with my mom and stepdad was Raka: Born of the sea, Guided by the stars, Blessed by the earth. We had a car full of people and not everyone of wine tasting age, so this was a quick stop. I have a photo of our rental van, a 10-seater Quantum, in this series. I also included links below of previous wine tasting experiences at other fabulous South African wine estates.

Bouchard Finlayson Winery

We drove the Hermanus wine route with my mom and stepdad in December 2017. It's situated in the Walker Bay wine region in the scenic valley known as Hemel-en-Aarde or Heaven-and-Earth. Because our time was limited, we only popped in at a couple of the wine estates. Bouchard Finlayson Winery was our second stop. (The previous one being Hamilton Russell Vineyards and I have included that link below.) You can see by these photos that this boutique winery is located in a supremely beautiful part of the world making superbly wonderful wines.
