We went for a short drive in the early evening while visiting the West Coast. We saw this black-shouldered kite with its kill on a fence post. Hubby stopped the car so I could take photos through the open window. The kite is gray and white with a black shoulder patch, and its eyes are red.
We also saw this sailboat against the gray clouds. The tortoise crossing sign is a reminder to drive slowly.
