Ground Orchids and More!

Today I'm featuring the beautiful ground orchids that are growing wild here in the Breede Valley, Western Cape, South Africa. Their Latin name is Satyrium erectum. I also included two photos towards the end of Lachenalia. In Afrikaans, they're called Viooltjie, which means little violin. These photos were taken over different days. That's why the lighting is so different in some of them.
