Du Toitskloof

Our third stop on our Rawsonville outing was Du Toitskloof Cellar. We came for a light lunch before heading back home. We didn't do any wine tasting this time, because they were very busy with a large group of kayakers and we were satisfied that we'd spent enough money on wine at our first two stops. Also, I've done a series of their wines on this blog before and you can check out those links below.

To follow our stops, you can click on the map at the bottom of this post to view it larger. Du Toitskloof is the second winery below the blue N1 sign. You can click on these links if you missed Part 1 or Part 2 of our Rawsonville outing.

We ordered two curry mince Vetkoeks (pronounced Fet-cook and means "fat cake" as the dough is deep-fried in hot oil) and one Boerewors (South African farmer's sausage) roll. Amanda ate the "Boerie" with the sweet tomato relish and we had the curry mince, which was too spicy for her. I was annoyed that we didn't have something to eat our messy food with and the kitchen was too far away to ask for more serviettes (napkins), but the food was good.

Amanda took this photo of us
