The Scratch Patch in Simon's Town

We love visiting The Scratch Patch in Simon's Town. Our kids were shopping for Christmas presents one year and spent half the day at their two shops choosing gifts. There are a variety of items to choose from, ranging from affordable to expensive. The kids chose well with the money they had, even chipping in together to buy their American grandparents the perfect souvenir. These photos are from that day. For some reason, only Amanda is in these pics.

I've included photos taken on the fly as we left Simon's Town and drove through Kalk Bay and also a bit of the coast. If you want to see my previous post on The Scratch Patch then you can visit Simon's Town - Part 1 and photos of our gems that we've collected from there on Tumbled Gemstones.

Wow! Looks like a place my grandkids would love to visit. Those gemstones look so pretty. Too bad it's 4000 miles away! Loved the beach photos too.

Christina, beautiful photos! The Scratch Patch looks like an educational, as well as fun, shop to visit. Beautifully laid out like a museum! #PicturePerfectParty

Yes, you'd love it! Thanks for sharing your post. That info about tulips is insane! To think that the part we want is chopped off, but I would imagine that transporting bulbs is less tricky, so a win-win for the tulip farmers.
NO WONDER you spent so much time there! I would too! lol OH, the maps and globe...and the rocks and gems and... just WOW! :D
