Boulders Beach - Part 1

One of the best beaches to visit in Cape Town is Boulders Beach. It's part of the South African National Parks and an entrance fee is required, but that also keeps the number of visitors down. The beach is well protected from wind and the water is shallow where you enter, making it very family friendly. The best part is that the African penguins hang out here!

Love penguins!
How cool to see penguins like this! I've only seen them in zoos.

Tina, these pictures are SO stunning! You live in one of the most gorgeous places on the planet, no question. I'm such a penguin lover too, and that sign alone is just priceless :D

Yep! That's an oil rig. ;)
Cape Town has great beaches and also the gorgeous Waterfront. What makes Boulders Beach so special is that it is a protected habitat for the African Penguin and you have to pay to enter, so that keeps the crowds away. It's also a great beach for small kids as it's pretty safe; the boulders keep the water calm and the decent is gradual.
