Kruger National Park - Part 5

We saw a wide variety of wildlife while crossing the Shingwedzi River. It was a special experience seeing so many animals and birds in such a short space of time. We then continued our drive north of the Kruger National Park where we saw more elephants and buffalo through the mopane trees.

Beautiful pics. What an interesting place. Thanks for sharing.
Lovely images!
Elephants are one of my favorite animals and, of course, we only see them in zoos here. Bull elephants (and, I suppose, females with young) are rumored to be quite temperamental and dangerous. Are there incidents where folks touring places like this find this out to their dismay?

Young bull elephants are kept in their place by the adults, so they don't misbehave. I heard of a park needing elephants and being given young bachelor bulls, which ended becoming a problem. They were destructive and killed animals like rhino without having adult family members around. The moms with their babies are also dangerous, especially if you get between them. Tourists are supposed to stay on the roads and inside their vehicles and not make any loud noises or sudden movements that might frighten them.
Thanks for more photos from Kruger National park. I like the GIF of the elephant.

Thanks, Rhonda! I should have taken some short videos while there, but I focused on photographs. At least the GIF's that I create can give an idea of the movement. ;)
