Road Trip and Cherry Lane

We live in beautiful wine country in the Western Cape. A couple of weeks ago, we took a drive to pick up Amanda who had spent the majority of her "Spring" break with her grandparents at the beach. It's actually not Spring, but Autumn in South Africa.

My mother-in-law met us about halfway in Malmesbury at Cherry Lane. It's a gift shop with a cute tea garden. These photos are of our round trip including our stopover at Cherry Lane. All the scenic shots were taken on the fly while Hubby was driving.

You live in such a gorgeous part of the world! I am from the US. A friend recently visited wine country in S. Africa when she was there to run Comrade's Marathon. She couldn't believe the natural beauty of the land or the friendliness of the people. I would love to visit sometime. Thanks for sharing!

When I began this blog, it helped me to really appreciate where I live. I moved to South Africa in 1995. I was raised a US Army brat and lived in the States and Germany. If you do come over, don’t ever let your guard down - be careful, be wise.
