Fish and Chips on South Africa's West Coast

We always enjoy wonderful food every time we visit my in-laws at Britannia Bay. The fresh fish and chips we bought at the harbor and my mother-in-law made the sides, which consisted of two salads and a sweet potato gratin.

We also had a couple of South African wines, one of them is featured here: Edgebaston Pepper Pot. A traditional South African dish called "potjiekos" (meaning "small pot food") is cooked outside on a three-legged cast-iron pot called a "potjie" like on the wine label. Looks like a great feast.
Looks great!
The fish and chips look nice and those sides make for a very pretty plate. I never thought of fish and chips with wine. I'll have to try it next time I get take away.

Thanks, Rhonda!
That's probably because wine isn't sold at the fish and chips shops! My mother-in-law packed a little bottle of sparkling wine for herself when we went picnicking once. Most of us chose to bring along ciders or beers. LOL :D
I'm actually planning on sharing photos of that picnic next time. Have a great week!
