It really makes a difference!
Our family spent five amazing days in the Garden Route during the June-July school holiday. We stayed two wonderful nights in a tastefully decorated self-catering unit at Beside Still Waters in Wilderness. It's not always easy finding a unit that sleeps six. We were very comfortable in The Upper Room, which had three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a kitchen, and sitting room. All the rooms were bright and friendly. An extra touch throughout were the fresh flowers. It also had a balcony with a stunning view of the lake in front and the diverse wildlife on the mountain behind. We saw birds, monkeys and antelope from our balcony.

There are lots of interesting things to see and do in Wilderness. We visited the beautiful beach, walked the boardwalks along the water, and there was a hut for bird watching enthusiasts on the lake close to our accommodation. We did so much in such a short time that I'll share some of those photos over the next few weeks.
